Connecticut College, Private liberal-arts college in New London, Conn. It was founded in 1911 as a women’s college, and became coeducational in 1969. It offers a range of programs leading to the bachelor’s degree. It maintains centers for international studies, conservation biology, and arts and technology. Enrollment is about 1,900.
