Portogruaro, town, Veneto regione, northeastern Italy, on the Lemene River. The town has old houses (dating from the 14th century), ancient gates and arcades, and a cathedral with a slender campanile that is slightly askew. The Palazzo Comunale is a 14th-century Gothic building. An archaeological museum contains objects from the nearby excavated Roman colony of Concordia Sagittaria. Portogruaro is an agricultural market for the surrounding region. Its manufactures include textiles and chemicals. Pop. (2006 est.) mun., 24,992.
