Chickasaw, city, northern suburb of Mobile, Mobile county, southwestern Alabama, U.S. It lies on Chickasaw Creek, a tributary of the Mobile Bay delta region. Named for the Chickasaw people, it was founded during World War I as a shipbuilding community.
