Simon Adams is a historian and writer living and working in London. He studied history and politics at universities in London and Bristol and has written numerous books for adults and children about modern history and warfare. His work appears in Encyclopaedia Britannica as part of a joint publishing agreement with the publisher of 1001 Amazing Places You Should See Before You Die and 1001 Battles That Changed the Course of History, where the work originally appeared.
